Firms offer school leavers remedial classes


Many firms have voiced their concerns about school leavers’ literacy skills. A survey found a third of 542 firms questioned were unhappy with the numeracy and literacy skills of younger workers.

However the same concerns were found by CBI 10 years ago with 34% unhappy with youngsters’ basic skills.
