Germany saves euro zone from recession, split deepens


Germany seems to have saved Europe from another recession, but at what expense?


French stagnation & political uncertainty on top of Spanish downgrades and the continuing struggle with Greece has resulted in contraction for most of Europe.


However their GDP for the 1st quarter has remained unchanged and Europe has narrowly escaped the brink of another recession due to German exports and overall good figures coming from Germany.
